The LightSpeakers can be installed easily like a light bulb. To deliver wireless music LightSpeaker has a standalone transmitter. The gadget can be connected to any media device. At present the LightSpeaker can be attached on any standard 5- to 6-inch recessed light fixture. The future products will be able to accommodate to table lamps, hanging lights etc. http://indianapolis.dbusinessnews.com/viewnews.php?article=bwire/20100105005304r1.xml

The LED bulb is expected to be used for 40,000 hours. It can last for 15 years. Since the LightSpeaker LED bulb contains no mercury or halogen gases, it produces no heat. That makes the product more energy efficient. The speaker has 20 watt digital amplifier to produce sound. The system can support eight speakers for four rooms. The brightness of the bulb and the volume of the speaker can be controlled independently of each other by the main station or by the small remote. http://www.engadget.com/2010/01/05/klipsch-lightspeaker-makes-whole-home-audio-as-simple-as-screwin/
